Christophe Veyrac, previously Chairman of Tréfilerie d'Acier de Bretagne, is handing over the reins ahead of his forthcoming retirement. He is selling the capital of his company to the investor Breizh rebond. The regional fund is joined by Raoul Colas des Francs, a 52-year-old engineer, who joins the company as a minority shareholder and now oversees Tréfilerie d'Acier de Bretagne.
Tréfilerie d'Acier de Bretagne has 25 employees and sales of €33.5 million. This regional SME manufactures quality products, mainly steel wire coils for concrete reinforcement, as well as steel bars and mesh panels, for regional customers (mainly in Brittany, Pays de la Loire and Normandy). Its location in Chateaubourg near Rennes, close to its customers, helps to limit the costs and environmental impact of transporting heavy products.
"This acquisition of a majority stake is fully in line with our mission, which is to support regional SMEs that need to move to a new stage in their development. What's more, our involvement enables Tréfilerie d'Acier de Bretagne to remain independent, which fits in perfectly with our DNA," explain Xavier Lépine and Sylvain Querneau, Chairman and Managing Director of Breizh Rebond respectively.
