InnovaFonds is acquiring a stake in the Nantes-based group, alongside Bpifrance. This is the first investment by InnovaFonds' "Partenaire Managers I" flex equity fund, which acts mainly as a minority investor alongside the majority management.
Lumiplan's management team, led by Chairman Henry Gaillard, remains the majority shareholder and still includes founder Jacques Daniel. Arkéa Capital, which has been present alongside the company since an initial MBO in 2018, is withdrawing from the capital.
This transaction will enable Lumiplan, which has grown significantly in recent years, to strengthen its leadership on the French and European markets, pursue its international growth and fully deploy its strategy around its LumiData and Lumiplay platforms.
Founded in 1972, Lumiplan is a designer and manufacturer of digital information panels offering a very wide range of solutions for traveller, citizen and tourist information. The group, based in Saint Herblain (44), currently employs 270 people and has a turnover of 55 million euros, around 30% of which comes from exports, thanks in particular to its 6 subsidiaries present in more than 20 countries.
