Incubated at H7, a start-up accelerator in Lyon, Ziplo is a sovereign service that enables its users to deposit their files, in order to build up evidence to establish anteriority.
Ziplo uses two mechanisms to obtain a qualified timestamp for its deposits: via a trusted third party (eIDAS certified) and via a blockchain transaction. Ziplo's strength, by considerably reducing the cost of creating proof and simplifying it as much as possible, is that it enables companies to file their creations on a very regular basis in order to protect their know-how and intellectual property.
For Cornet Vincent Ségurel, this partnership is an opportunity to offer its clients an innovative new service to strengthen the protection of their creations and innovations.
"This partnership with Ziplo reflects our modern, pragmatic approach to the law," comments Luc-Marie Augagneur, Partner at Cornet Vincent Ségurel. "We believe that intellectual property should be considered in a holistic way, including outside the realm of property titles.
"This service, which is directly accessible on our website, enables us to offer our clients a new way of keeping track of their entire creative process, with sufficient quality of proof to help establish prior art if necessary," adds François Herpe, a partner at Cornet Vincent Ségurel.
"It's a great opportunity for Ziplo to be adopted and promoted by a recognised law firm like Cornet Vincent Ségurel," confides Aurélie Drouvin, Ziplo's President. "This partnership follows on from our regular exchanges with Luc-Marie Augagneur over more than a year, so we are delighted to be providing this service to both the firm's lawyers and its clients".
