Founded in 1976 in Pommeret in the Côtes d’Armor, Les Cartonnages Gourio specialises in standard and customised cardboard packaging. Jacques DAQUIN, who has been running the company since 2016, wanted to pass on his business to a new manager who shared his values.
He therefore sold his company to Olivier CAMPY, who acquired 100% of the capital and voting rights. An engineer by training, he has significant experience of managing industrial companies in Brittany. He hopes to follow in his predecessor’s footsteps and continue to develop the company, particularly through its commitment to CSR. Cartonnages Gourio has around forty employees, twenty or so machines, 6,000 product references and 800 customers in Brittany. Designing and manufacturing its products in Brittany, the company uses 100% French raw materials. It also favours the use of water-based inks and glues for eco-responsible printing, as well as paper recycling.
For this transaction, a team from Cornet Vincent Ségurel’s Rennes office, led by partner Pierre Lamidon, assisted the new owner-manager with the corporate and tax aspects of the deal, as well as with the legal, tax and employment due diligence.
