The symbolic foundation stone for the new Victor-Dupouy hospital was laid on 13 June. A single 77,000 m2 block will replace the existing wards, at a total investment of €400 million.
The Ministry of Health had given the go-ahead by the end of 2022 for this project, which had been planned for the hospital since 2008. The aim of these major works is to optimise and modernise the hospital centre. The existing building will be demolished and rebuilt, with the exception of the Madeleine-Brès building, constructed in 2013, which will be retained. Dating from 1929, the current facility, with its several separate wards, is no longer suited to modern hospital practice. With a single block, the new hospital centre will simplify care pathways and give patients access to the latest technological innovations.
An initial tranche of 30,000 m2 is scheduled for completion in 2027. The project will be completed with a second tranche of 28,000 m2 scheduled for completion in 2030. A total budget of €400 million will be devoted to the project, including €140 million in subsidies under the Val-d’Oise plan and €41 million in self-financing.
The project will be managed by Bouygues and the architects Brunet Saunier et Associés. For the construction, 20% of the contracts should be awarded to local SMEs and craftsmen.
The law firm Cornet Vincent Ségurel worked alongside the Hospital Centre team throughout the negotiated procedure that led to the signing of the public procurement contract with Bouygues.
