Gold Trophy "National multi-offices firm and regional firm category" - 2017

Silver Trophy for the teams specialising in Distribution law - 2017

Banking & Finance

"Cornet Vincent Ségurel is ‘appreciated for its professionalism and its ability to proffer solutions in ever more complex and constantly changing cases’. The firm is also characterised by ‘its ability to engage with eminent experts just as readily as with the head of Legal Affairs of a midsized company, positively and tactfully’. The team of around ten attorneys provides assistance to businesses, as well as to regional and national banks. They are called upon to assist in setting up many forms of mid-scale financing: acquisition financing, structured financing, syndicated loans or Euro PP issuance. The firm is also involved in a major banking litigation case. Key players on the team include Bertrand Coste, Jean-Baptiste de Cabanes, Matthieu Guignard and André Watbot."

EU competition and distribution

"Cornet Vincent Ségurel acts as counsel to a number of major retailing chains, particularly in the North of France. The team also handles cases under competition law, and advised Rossel on its notification to the Competition Authority of its acquisition of an equity stake in the 20 Minutes freesheet. Nicolas de la Taste, Thomas Deschryver and newly-promoted associate Amélie Poulain are highly recommended.”

Administrative and public law

"Cornet Vincent Ségurel possesses ‘widely recognised and proven skills’. The team of some 15 attorneys delivers ‘work of a high quality, that is clear, precise and easy to deploy’, plus a broad range of expertise including public procurement, complex contracts, urban planning and development. The firm advises public and quasi-public entities as well as private groups. It recently assisted the Vendée Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of the award of the concession on the fishing and commercial ports of Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie and Les Sables d’Olonne. This sector is being developed by Frédéric Marchand and Christian Naux, both ‘extremely competent, efficient and meticulous’, and by Christophe Pichon, who is ‘readily available, always willing to listen and full of sound advice’ and Pierre-Alexis Ramaut."

Employment law

"Cornet Vincent Ségurel fields a team of 24 attorneys, divided between its Paris and regional offices. The firm’s clients include French, US and international groups. It is frequently involved in setting up restructuring and job saving plans. The team also advises clients on mergers & acquisitions or employment tribunal litigation. Developing this sector is the responsibility of seven associates, including Hélène de Saint Germain, François-Xavier Michel, Bertrand Salmon and Laurence Tardivel."

"Cornet Vincent Ségurel handles preventive and winding-up procedures for micro-enterprises and SMEs, as well as for some larger businesses. The firm regularly acts on behalf of debtors, and has handled a number of prepack sales, as well as handling a sensitive case before the CIRI industrial restructuring committee. Jean-François Puget and Alexandre Cornet are among the leading members of the team.”

The regions

"The Nantes office of Cornet Vincent Ségurel is one of the leading law firms in western France, highly recommended for ‘its pragmatic support in every aspect of business life’. The firm of over 120 attorneys is also well established in Paris, with branches in Rennes, Lille and Bordeaux as of May 2016. The firm’s clients include SMEs, mid-sized and large companies."
